This Is Elle is the solo project of Laura Pizzicannella, an Italian singer-songwriter with Roman origins and a deeply international vision. Her love for music starts at 3 years old, dreaming about big stages while travelling in her father’s car listening to her favourite singers. Blending Indie, Ethereal, Dream Pop and Alternative Rock influences, her music creates immersive sonic landscapes where vulnerability, spirituality and emotional intensity coexist. Inspired by artists such as Florence + The Machine, Aurora and the atmospheric depth of Pink Floyd, This Is Elle has developed a sound that is both cinematic and intimate, capable of connecting deeply with listeners across cultures.
More than a singer, Elle creates emotional experiences. Her concerts are highly engaging, both emotionally and physically: people dance, laugh, cry, and look inward. Each performance becomes a shared journey where audiences can recognize themselves, let go, and feel part of something authentic and transformative. Her voice moves between fragility and power, carrying songs that speak about healing, freedom, nostalgia, human connection and inner rebirth.
On October 31st, she released The Other Side, an ambitious EP accompanied by six interconnected music videos available on YouTube, all tied together through a compelling narrative universe that expands the emotional depth of the project. The release further established This Is Elle as an artist capable of merging music, storytelling and visual aesthetics into one cohesive artistic identity.
Over the years, she has performed extensively throughout Italy and internationally, bringing her music to audiences in Japan, Sweden, England and Tunisia. Thanks to its emotional universality and atmospheric sound, her project naturally resonates with international audiences and alternative music scenes worldwide.
Recently, This Is Elle was invited by legendary Italian music journalist Red Ronnie to appear in the final 2025 episode of Nuovo Roxy Bar and on his program We Have a Dream, further confirming the growing attention surrounding her artistic vision.
Her song Gold was selected as the main theme and soundtrack for the Amazon Prime series Fighters, produced by Zut Film Production and directed by Leonardo Santoleri.
With a distinctive artistic identity, a strong visual and emotional universe, and a sound that feels both contemporary and timeless, This Is Elle stands out as one of the most unique emerging projects in the alternative indie scene today — an artist with all the qualities needed to firmly establish herself in the international music market.
